Buying A Watch

Our watches are shipped within 1-2 business days upon receiving payment in full. If you need to make arrangements to have a package held at a FedEx location, or if you need a package delayed, please contact us directly to make arrangements with us.
The Watch Standard uses FedEx Priority Overnight Shipping to ensure you receive your watch as soon as possible and to reduce transit time. We also insure every package for its full replacement value. Please note - a signature will always be required upon delivery to guarantee receipt and a safe delivery of your watch.
Selling Your Watch
We buy watches of luxury brands, including but not limited to Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Panerai, Omega, Breitling, Cartier and several other high-end names.
Yes, we do accept trades - which we determine on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, we will usually apply the value of your watch as credit towards the value of any of our watches that we have on our site.
Preliminary trade-in values can be discussed and conveyed via phone and/or email. However, all watches must be officially inspected, authenticated, and appraised in person by a watch expert at The Watch Standard before a firm trade-in value can be confirmed.
You will have the option of a bank wire-transfer or a check for the purchase amount. Please be sure to notify us of which payment method you prefer upon confirming our purchase offer.
Upon mutual agreement of the purchase price offer, bank wire-transfers will be initiated within 24 hours, and checks will be sent out the same day and expected to arrive between 3-5 business days.
Clients bringing in their watch for a scheduled on-site evaluation will have the option of cash payment. Please contact us for more details.
We evaluate the value of your watch using primary criteria points including, but not limited to, the overall condition of the case, dial, crystal, band, crown, and other performance features of the watch. Years of market research and data are also taken into consideration in our evaluation of your watch in order to provide you with the best possible offer.
We will provide you with an overnight FedEx label to send us your watch, which will be fully insured. If at any point during the watch selling process you decide to change your mind, we will ship your watch back to you - fully insured while in transit, in the same condition it was sent to us, and with all return shipping costs covered by us.

About Our Watches
Yes, all photos on our website are taken of the actual watch you are purchasing.
If a watch has the original box and/or papers included, it will be stated in the description of the watch, along with a photo of the box and paperwork. Otherwise, the watch will come with a The Watch Standard presentation box, in which case the purchase price for the watch will have been discounted accordingly. Many of our customers prefer the price discount over having the watch’s original box and papers included.
All packages received by The Watch Standard are opened while being videotaped, both when first arriving at the store as well as when leaving the store. This is done as a guideline to verify the watch’s condition for both us and our clients - the way we receive it and also when leaving our possession.
All watches from The Watch Standard are 100% authentic - guaranteed. We pride ourselves in conducting all business with honesty and integrity. We will never sell a counterfeit watch or a watch containing counterfeit parts.
Strap and bracelet sizes can vary; most of our listed watches are sized for the average wrist size. Please contact us if you have any questions in regard to sizing, or feel free to schedule an in-person appointment with us to have your watch sized.
We accept payment by wire-transfer, credit card, and cash. We do not accept any payment methods that are not FDIC insured (e.g., PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp).
Once we receive your payment, we will notify you by email that we have received it. If payment is made by credit card, we will reach out to you to verify identity for the transaction. We will send you an additional email when your watch is scheduled to ship, along with its tracking number.
We will issue the refund 24 hours after we receive and are in possession of the watch. Please see our Return Policy for more details on returns and refunds.
If you are not happy with the original purchase offer made, we will pay to return your watch back to you using FedEx shipping. In the event that our offer is declined due to unmatched terms, you the seller/inquirer, not The Watch Standard, will be responsible for the return costs - including all shipping fees and insurance.
Please note The Watch Standard does not accept counterfeit items. Therefore, if the watch we are sent is counterfeit or includes counterfeit parts and accessories, it is the client’s sole responsibility to cover shipping and insurance costs to receive their items back.
